Title- Just One Lie
Author- Kyra Davis
Release Date- 28th of July 2015

Blurb

In the instant international sensation Just One Night, sensible Kasie Fitzgerald unleashed her passions and found herself through an explosive affair. In Just One Lie, we meet Kasies wild and tortured sister, whose impulsivity and lack of self-control has set off a chain of events that changes her family forever.

Melody Fitzgerald is the opposite of the perfect daughter. The lead singer of an indie rock band, she is impulsive and creative, with a rebellious streak that both defines her and becomes her greatest enemy. Her lover, the enticing and unpredictable Ash, shares her free spirit and penchant for trouble. On the face of it, he seems to be her perfect match.

So why is she so drawn to her soft spoken, reliable drummer, Brad Witmer? How can a man who wears polo shirts and reads the financial section of the paper be of any interest to her at all? And why on earth does someone like that appear to be so captivated by her?

Before she knows it, Melody finds herself on a path of self-discovery, passion, and affairs of the heart. But will a dark secret from her past derail it all? Or will its exposure be the very thing that unburdens her heart and allows her to seek a future with the one man who loves her completely?

4 Sassy Books!

Review
(May contain some spoilers about a character I didn't like so much which may result in guessing the outcome of the relationship between two people, but I couldn't leave it out. Sorry not sorry)

Melody, aka Mercy, is one *beeped* up chick!

We follow Mercy and her depressed, *beeped* up self through so much in Just One Lie. She's the lead singer in a band, cage dancer, phone sex operator and dog walker that lives life in the now, pushing her past into the black abyss of her mind. Not wanting to remember anything about it, not wanting to remember her old self. Her dead self. Melody. The now is where she wants to be and that's where she will stay. That is until one night during a gig when her past appears in the form of Ash. Hot, spontaneous, passionate, shredded her heart to pieces, Ash. Not able to resist temptation, she falls back to him. But being with him means holding onto the past and the hurt that comes with it.

Just One Lie hits you right in the feels. The mind of Mercy will do that to you. Depressed, suicidal, confused, lost, alone and abandoned. You really feel for her. You really want her to make it through and to be ok. She's a character you root for. So when Ash came into the picture, I thought for sure he was going to be the one to make it all better. Well he didn't. He's a dick. I don't like him. That's all I am going to say about that.

Kyra Davis did her job as an author well. I was drawn into the story by the easy connection to the characters, and found myself addicted to the story because of the intriguing story line. I felt invested in it. I felt.

Throughout Just One Lie I was a big bag of mixed emotions. I giggled, laughed, gasped and had quite a few "oh no you didn't" moments. My heart felt heavy and my chest felt tight. If Kyra had of been in the room with me during some of the scenes I think she would have copped quite a few random flying objects her way (mainly a scene where someone made a decision I wasn't ready for and I literally yelled "WTF you stupid *beep*" and scared the *beep* out of my child). Maybe even a foot kicking her for putting me through what she did. It was one crazy-ass emotional journey and I loved every minute of it.

This is one crazy-ass emotional journey I think most will want to take.
